1) Letting good work go unappreciated – nothing demotivates an employee more than his good work going unappreciated – except one thing : read point 2

2) Taking away the credit – what can be worse than not being appreciated for your work – the credit being taken by someone else. Bosses may do this knowingly/unknowingly as much of the work done today is in teams and it seldom happens that all the work was done by one person though in the time of success its easy to forget this – but the one who did the work never forgets

3) Shooting the messenger – when an employee comes up to a senior with a negative feedback it surely means that he trusts the boss that he is just and would do whats right. What happens when instead of taking the feedback he gets a negative response or action – he would never trust the boss again.
